Photography is just an elaborate excuse to stare at people. A socially acceptable form of voyeurism, if you will. A way to capture a moment that was never really yours to begin with. The best images aren’t the ones that scream for attention—they’re the ones that feel like you stumbled onto something you weren’t supposed to see.
That’s the aim. Portraits, fashion, events—whatever it is, it should feel a little voyeuristic, a little nostalgic, like it was pulled from some half-remembered dream. If that’s what you’re after, we’ll probably get along. If not, well… cameras have a delete button for a reason.
